Dreams and Art
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH
This is a drop-off class. We invite any age that can be dropped off!
This is a collaborations between M.A.P.S. and Parsons Design Students. We will dive into a workshop focused on the use of collage in art as we explore our DREAMS. The team of Parsons students will also explore the idea of a professional artist book with the children. The project will culminate in a professional artist book featuring the children’s work.
Sakura Smith lives in this neighborhood but is originally from LA. She is a junior in the Integrated Design program at Parsons and is focusing on fine art/food/curatorial studies. Her work typically is centered around surveillance, identity, and community. At the end of the day she just wants to make things that feel good.
Muriel Panaggio was born and raised Newport, Rhode Island. She is a junior at the Parsons School of Design where she studies fine arts and design. Her works deals with deconstructing or reinventing systems like catholicism, the power of image, and her own childhood.
Megan Uribe is a Junior at Parsons The New School for Design, studying Integrated Design and Curatorial Studies. Her work focuses on underutilized spaces around NYC and alternative ways to exhibit artwork and ideas. Her passions for working with other artists and creating platforms for underrepresented artists has led her to working with younger creatives and building a space for them to share their own voices.
