Remote Art Workshops
In these remote workshops we will create both art and community as we explore various forms of art. We will look at both historic and contemporary artists to inform our creative process as we dive into painting, sculpting, drawing and puppet making. Students will have the opportunity to use a wide variety of art materials, all of which can be found around the house, to create their visual masterpieces!
Remote Songwriting Workshops
Children will write original lyrics - inspired by stories, poems, folk tales, myths and the like - and set them to melody. Children will become experts in the art of song craft as they learn about lyric writing, melody creation, song structure and instrumental arrangements.
Below are some examples of a past songwriting workshop! The songs were written with children ages K-3rd grade and used poetry by Emily Dickinson, Sappho and a folktale called Elijah’s Violin.
