MAPS has been offering workshops since 2020 to the BCHS (Brooklyn Community Housing and Services). We have been leading art and gardening workshops for formerly homeless mothers and their children and formerly homeless adults with mental illness. We have been focusing our workshops in 2023 to include planning and preparing to revitalize the gardens at BCHS. We have been planting seeds and learning about native plants, along with using collage and art techniques to play with the colors and plants that the community wants in their future garden. MAPS will continue to grow starts with BCHS and begin the planting process with spring ephemerals, put in the ground in Fall 2023, and hardy plugs to be put in Spring 2024.
