Nature, Art and Animals! (Session 2)
Nature, Art and Animals! (Session 2)
All grades at EVCS!
2:50pm-5:30pm
Tuesdays through December
(10/12-12/21 every Tuesday that school is in session! No class Election Day!)
Join us in an artistic investigation into our planet and its wealth of plants, animals, fungi and other lifeforms, its water, its geography - we’ll examine everything the Earth has to offer as we experiment with artistic concepts like color, shape, line and composition. We will utilize and blur the lines between a range of artistic media including painting, drawing, sculpture, music, puppetry and mask-making always keeping our focus on nature, animals and the joys and wonders of the creative process!
This class is taught by MAPS (www.musicartpuppetsound.org), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to bring art and music education to underserved populations. All of our paid workshops, including this one, are fundraisers that support our work with refugee and migrant communities, children and families in Manhattan and Brooklyn, seniors and more. Scholarships for this class are available, please email us at maps@musicartpuppetsound.org to learn more.
*3% online service fee included in price.
