Art and Our Planet
This is a fundraiser workshop to support our work with refugee, migrant and underserved communities. We are currently fundraising for work with the IRC, University Settlement, Brooklyn Housing and Community Services, Migrant Education Program and Newcomers Academy for Refugee and Migrant Youths. K-2nd grade
Join us in an artistic investigation into our planet and its wealth of plants, animals, fungi and other lifeforms, its water, its geography - we’ll examine everything the Earth has to offer as we experiment with artistic concepts like color, shape, line and composition. We will utilize and blur the lines between a range of artistic media including painting, drawing, sculpture, music, puppetry and mask-making always keeping our focus on nature, animals and the joys and wonders of the creative process!
*3% online service fee included in price.
Covid-19 Protocols: Masks are required to attend this workshop. We will practice physical distancing and other safety measures as the covid-19 pandemic continues.
