MAPS with Pittsfield High School Multilingual Program

In the fall of 2024, MAPS began working with PHS in a two-fold context. We provided professional development in arts-integration to ESL teachers in addition to live observation of MAPS’ own arts-integrated lessons. The ESL program at PHS serves 50+ refugee, immigrant and migrant students hailing from countries including Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, India, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana and Senegal. We are excited to have begun this new partnership and have plans to continue in the spring!
